Referrals allow us to effortlessly map the social networks of influence. Who is influencing others to sign up? Here's how it works:

How Referrals Work

A referral tag is automatically appended to any page (with URL parameter r=) when someone completes a form and is asked to share with friends. The share-with-friends link automatically includes the referral code. Likewise, the Page QR Codes sent as text attachments also include the page referral code. Additionally, when someone adds a new person via the Field Organizer app from the "+" (Add Person) section of the Conversations tab, their referral will be tracked that way too.

Viewing Referrals

You can see who is referring others to sign up by looking at someone's profile and checking the "Relationships" tab on the right. Only new signups will be included as referrals here. If person X invites an existing person in the database to sign a petition, it won't be included as their original referral. However, the non-new referred people are also tracked.

To see who is referring page submitters, go to All People, then group by "Most Referred Page Submissions". You can view referrals across all pages or by a specific page.

This feature helps you identify key influencers within your network, enabling you to understand and leverage social influence effectively.
