Call Legislator Pages allow you to mobilize your supporters to call their local elected officials to advocate for your campaign. Supporters can either submit the form on your Page or call the "call action number" directly to begin the process. Your supporter's US zip code is used to determine who their local representative in the selected legislature is. Once a Person on the phone, we will play your provided introduction recording instructing them about how to speak to their representative, and then immediately connect them to the representative's office.

When creating a Page, you must first select the legislature that you wish to target. We support the US House of Representatives and US Senate, and various state houses right of the box. If you wish to use this page with a legislature that you don't see listed as an option, reach out to support. We can oftentimes support these requests with about a week of lead time.

If a Person submits the form and they have no local legislators in your targeted legislature (e.g. a Person with a Minnesota zip code tried to participate in a campaign targeting the California State Assembly), they will be told that there are no available legislative targets for them.

Introduction recording.

The introduction recording is the audio track that your supporters will hear before they are connected to their legislator's office. This will play either immediately after someone calls action number OR, the moment they pick up the incoming phone call after submitting the form on your Page. If more than 1 legislative target is included (e.g. US Senate), then we will connect the Person to the second legislator's office after the first office hangs up the phone call. The Person can always skip to the next office by press the * key on their phone pad.

New contact message

If enabled, this is only sent to supporters who call the number directly and don't already have a Person record on your list. It's best to encourage them to text JOIN to the number or to visit your website to join.

Call action number

A "call action number" is required to use a Call Legislator Page. This number is dedicated to your page, and you will be charged $1 per month until you decide to delete the number. This is the phone number from which all People who submit your Page form will receive a call. Also, anyone can call their number directly and participate in the campaign. If you already have a Person record with a valid zip code on your list, they will immediately be played the introduction recording. If you either don't have that Person or they don't have a valid zip code, they will be asked to input their zip code over the phone so we can connect them to their local legislator.
